There are a lot of deer in our mountains. A small herd of them started to visit our place last fall. Poppy hated that they ate the bird seed. Nina hated that they ate the horse hay. One day, Nina sicced Tipper onto them. Black Dog happily bounced out, in her big, goofy way, to chase away these nuisances.
A big doe in the group, shook her head, stomped her feet, and chased Tipper back to the house! Nina laughed.
Poppy did not think that was funny. Tipper is his favorite dog. He sicced me onto that old doe.
I got the job done. I am a professional stock dog and know how to handle mean livestock. I had that old doe out of the driveway, and all the rest of them with her. Those deer haven’t been back since, either.
Nina and Poppy were so proud of me.
I am such a good dog!
